Welcome to yoga at YAY! An extraordinary place where you can practice, learn and relax. Our yoga space is an oase in the middle of the hectic city life. Surrounded by a beautiful fairtrade design and on professional mats supported by the ecofriendly yoga brand Manduka, the teachers will guide you in your practice. Our teachers are a playful, fun, loving crew who will make sure, either you are new to yoga or an advanced practitioner, you will learn something new every time. Hammocks, piles of pillows, fresh juices and healthy raw food meals are waiting for you before and after class, so you can stay a little longer in the wonderful yoga zen bubble.

Reservation

It is required to reserve your spot on the mat for yoga at YAY. To make a reservation for a yoga class please click here You will now enter our reservation system where you can create an account. You can book or change / cancel your reservation until one hour in advance. SIDE NOTE: you can reserve / cancel reservations for the 07.00 morning class until 23.00 pm the evening before. Go down at this page for prices and kinds of yoga we have.

We have a minimum of 3 students and a maximum of 20 students. Make sure you reserve your spot on the mat! If you have any trouble reserving your spot on the mat please send an email to: nanda@yayamsterdam.nl

Yoga Styles

Morning Flow Vinyasa

An active flow practice to awaken your body in the early morning, allowing your energy to flow through you. You will feel more connected with body and mind. Also good to tone and lengthen muscles. Sweat and flow to feel YAY!

Evening Flow Vinyasa
An active flow practice to awaken your body after a long day, allowing your energy to flow through you. You will feel more connected with body and mind. Also good to tone and lengthen muscles. Sweat and flow to feel YAY!

Basic Hatha Practice
The traditional physical practice of yoga. With each asana (pose) you practice your strength, balance and flexibility. Your body will relax and calm down in a natural way when you move through each asana on your own breath. Breath in and out to feel YAY!

Dynamic Ashtanga Practice
Supported by your breath you create a flow of movement. Through this intense way of moving you create heat in your body that makes you sweat. The heat and sweating works purifying for your muscles and organs. Your breath is your meditation during your practice. Good for your condition, strength and flexibility. Breathe and sweat to feel YAY!

Relaxed and Grounded Yoga
Letting go through slow movement. Improves your flexibility and brings physical and mental relief. Let it go to feel YAY!

Martial Art Yoga
Both yoga and martial arts are modes of self-healing that aim to dissolve stress and increase awareness. Both practices strive to awaken energy, or chi, within the body. Your yogamat will become your dojo during this class and you will receive power out of relaxation. Good for your condition, strength and flexibility.

Power Yoga
A fun and high on energy class to improve your strength and flexibility. You will for sure leave this class with a smile on your face. Play and have fun to feel YAY!
